No one's really sure where Smudge originated from. In fact, Stretch is the only one who seems to understand what Smudge says! When Doodle began cleaning his newly bought art desk for the main studio, he discovered something on the underside that was sort of squished into a crevice. When he finally pried it loose, he was amazed to discover that this small Smudge was an art eraser that someone had long since forgotten. Smudge is great for cleaning up artwork and other jobs that require stretching into other shapes and sizes. Since Stretch is the only one who can translate what Smudge says, they are the best of buddies and are always getting into some kind of mischief together.
