A Report of the Task Force
on Children's Learning and the Arts.
This research study contains
info on the importance of art in a child's life
from birth to age eight. It focuses on three areas:
The Child, The Arts Experience, The Learning Environment
and Adult Interactions. The study gives recommendations
for each focus area which is reffered to as Guiding
Principals in Action. The study reccomends different
activities for each of the focus groups to improve
art on all levels. Finally the study includes
charts that breakdown the stages of a child through
his first eight years and gives recommendations
and examples of activiteis that should be prformed
